An exploration into the roadside motel room.

For six months I spent the night in different motels encircling Lake Tahoe. I brought with me a custom suitcase/ pochade box, a collaboration between J Damron and myself. Inside the case, were my painting supplies and overnight necessities. From check in to check out, I was a plein air painter of my suite. The collection below are paintings from my experience and installation shots from it's exhibition at the John and Maureen Ashley Gallery in Incline Village, NV.
